According to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department records, he was arrested on charges of delaying an investigation. He was pulled over for a routine traffic violation. Young reportedly did not obey the officers and became upset. He was eventually arrested and taken to a nearby station.
According to court records, Young was arrested before midnight local time. He was released on bail of $10,000 after three and a half hours. The case is still under investigation. His next court date is scheduled for September 19, 2016.
After his junior year at the University of Southern California, Young opted to forgo his senior year and go pro. He was selected as the 16th overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. He spent last season with the Golden State Warriors. In eight games, Young made 36 3-pointers. His career-high average was 17.9 points.
